Year of Exposure Day 37: The Lord gives us a “heads-up.”

We have been discussing many things having to do with this “Year of Exposure.”
Recently, we have been discussing the importance of heeding the prophetic word of warning that the Lord provides in our lives to keep us on/get us back on the right track.
Let’s take a step aside to briefly consider how the Lord issues warnings or a heads-up.
The Lord speaks to us and instructs us through the written word.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
II Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV
He speaks to us and instructs us by way of His Holy Spirit Who dwells within us.
“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
John 16:12-13 NKJV
As we have most recently been considering: He speaks to us through prophetic words spoken by His special messengers, the prophets, to instruct and warn His people.
“Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.”
Amos 3:7 NKJV
“I have also sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, ‘Turn now everyone from his evil way, amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them; then you will dwell in the land which I have given you and your fathers.’ But you have not inclined your ear, nor obeyed Me.”
Jeremiah 35:15 NKJV
Indeed, the whole five-fold ministry is for the building up of the body of Christ. And, part of that building up will necessarily involve warnings and instruction.
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;”
Ephesians 4:11-13 NKJV
At the beginning of this year, the Lord gave us Psalm 141 as a template for 2025. Obviously all scripture is always good (as discussed above). But, we also know, that at times the Lord will direct us to particular passages of scripture that are speaking “in the moment” to our current need(s).
Now, that need may be for some sort of instruction or encouragement; but it may also be for some heads-up, some preparatory instruction or warning.
Lord willing: We will spend the next several days considering what we can glean from Psalm 141 to help us successfully navigate 2025…and beyond.
Peace to you.
Jesus is coming! Get ready for Him!

Amen!!
