Year of Realization - Day 61: Step over the threshold and enter in.

““Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭33‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

For many years I had a recurring dream in which I would be in what was my house (never my actual house) and would notice a door I had never seen before. Upon opening the door, I would discover a room I never knew was part of my house.

Interestingly, I haven’t had this previously recurring dream since having the “blue velvet” version of the dream.

In this last “blue velvet” iteration of my secret room recurring dream I opened the door to see a vast “room” in which everything I could see—all furnishings, “floor,” etc.—was covered with sky blue velvet. (As I have said at other times in relating this dream, I would never think of surrounding myself with the color, sky blue, let alone, with velvet.)

Additionally, the room was clearly palatial and appointed as such.

None of the other rooms I had “discovered” looked like this one. All of the other rooms were expansive but were clearly just that: a room. Walls were evident, as were a floor and ceiling as one would expect in a room. However, none of these features were evident in the blue velvet “room” except the “floor” (also blue velvet) on which I walked. I don’t remember there being any sense of walls or any sense of a ceiling; for that matter, there was no sense of an end to it.

“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Over the years I have come to realize that whereas the other hidden room dreams were giving a glimpse into the unseen: the realm of the spirit, the “blue velvet” version indicated the walking into (realizing!) that unencumbered “place” found only in that which is eternal.

In our opening scripture we see the same passage with which we began our journey into the “Year of Realization.” In it we see the Lord giving an invitation to see what we have not seen before so that we can walk where we have not walked before.

Indeed, the Lord instructed that we step aside from our paradigm: the Book of Esther, to remind ourselves what the “Year of Realization” is all about. I trust these words have accomplished that purpose.

Tomorrow—as we step back into Esther’s story—we will see what a sudden shift looks like.

Peace to you.

Jesus is coming! Get ready for Him!
