““Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’”
Jeremiah 33:2-3 AMP
With the beginning of a New Year, we necessarily leave behind the year that has ended and look to the open door in front of us. Of course, it is normal to wonder what our lives will be like in this year. Additionally, we all probably have things we would like to see happen (on many levels) in this New Year.
I personally sought the Lord as to what He wanted us to begin with in terms of our journey in the word. Being in the beginning of the year, I even wondered if it was a time for a called fast. However, the Lord instructed otherwise.
Sometimes you can make yourself feel silly, and this was one of those times, as the Lord reminded me that He had already told me what I was to begin with for this year: the message that was presented at Ararat Church on the first day of this year. [As an aside: if you have not watched that message I encourage you to do so.] So, today we set sail on our journey into “The Year of Realization.”
Now, considering the term, “realization,” you will see that it can have two very different applications.
On the one hand, realization can reference the experience of becoming aware of something of which you were not formerly aware.
The other application of the term references the fulfilling or achievement of something and/or obtaining something that was desired.
When I asked the Lord which of these applications would be seen in this year in terms of “realization,” He told me that it would be both.
Those who are the Lord’s will see things they have never seen before in terms of revelation and truth.
Additionally, there will be the fulfilling of those things promised by the Lord, things for which we have been believing. Now, bear in mind, these things will happen in the midst of seemingly contrary circumstances. In fact, after spending some time considering the biblical scenarios illustrating each meaning of realization, the Lord impressed on my heart that the paradigm for this year is that of the story of Esther. Therefore, over the coming days (we have not set a certain number of days as the Lord has directed that we proceed until He speaks otherwise) we will be considering the paradigm of the story of Esther and what it tells us about “realization.”
I look forward to our time together exploring this paradigm. I know that if you will commit to this process, you will be blessed and you will be helped in terms of navigating this year.
Our opening scripture is probably one with which you are familiar; what you may not be familiar with is the fact that this was spoken in the context of the judgment that was to come on the people of God because of their disobedience.
But, the prophetic word concerning judgment was accompanied with the assurance that there would be a coming time of peace and relief.
I will leave you with a short statement the Lord gave me concerning this year:
“You will be stunned to see the shift that will occur as the tension between the two forces gives way and one slips underneath the other. Light will shine in darkness; yet many will still refuse to see. For those who do see the truth, there will be a next level access to clarity.”
As I said in the message concerning this year: it’s clear that the metaphor here is that of the conditions that bring about great earthquakes. I believe what we are to glean from this is that this type of a violent/sudden shift will occur on many levels. But one thing of which we can be sure: the Lord will deliver and keep us through whatever we must face. Indeed, He will make “contrary circumstances” work for our good.
As we keep our heart open before the Lord, He will reveal to us the truth and understanding other people don’t see. We will walk in His light no matter how dark the circumstances! We will experience realization, in terms of revelation, and realization, in terms of possession/attainment, in 2023!
Peace to you.
