“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.”
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 NKJV
Somehow or another, the people in the church at Thessalonica, thought that the return of Jesus Christ had happened, and were grieving over having missed it. Paul assures them that this is not the case, giving them an indication of what would be seen just before the coming of Jesus Christ. Paul points to the fact that the return of the Lord would not happen before there was a great falling away, a great Apostasy, of the Church. As well, the antichrist will first be revealed.
“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”
II Thessalonians 2:3-4 NKJV
Indeed, the falling away of the Church is referenced in many other scriptures; many of which we may examine in the coming days.
We reference the Apostasy, the falling away of the Church, here, because of what the Lord has given us as an insight into 2025.
Indeed, the Lord has instructed us that 2025 will be a “Year of Exposure.” Now, the paradigm He has given us for this is the parable of the wheat and tares:
“Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.””
Matthew 13:24-30 NKJV
We know that the Day is coming, the final Judgment, when all accounts will be settled and what we have done—good or bad—will be revealed.
With that, as we are approaching the soon coming of Jesus Christ, even now, the Lord is beginning to make evident the secret things, the hidden things.
Now, why would the Lord be doing this at this point in time? You see, He is giving everyone a chance to see the truth. As well, He is giving everyone a chance to make sure they are truly walking in the truth.
Additionally, over the coming days, as we see exposure of the things that had been hidden, exposure of those who say they are His but are walking in hypocrisy, there will also be exposure of those through whom God will show His great power in these Last Days before our Lord’s return.
We see in our opening scripture that our part is to fear the Lord and do what He has said. Indeed Jesus echoed this same truth:
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.””
John 14:21 NKJV
Make no mistake, living a duplicitous lifestyle is dangerous. And, unless there is true repentance, will definitely lead to destruction at some point, whether sooner or later.
Through Jesus Christ, we have access to the indwelling of the precious Holy Spirit of God. And, as we listen to His voice, He will lead us into all righteousness so that we need never stand ashamed.
Remember, the Lord will use those mightily who are truly His, during these tumultuous days. But, as He is raising up His true Church into exposure, He will expose those who say they are His and are not.
Going forward, we will talk more about what we must know, and how we must respond, during this season of exposure. Lord willing, we will pursue this examination intermittently throughout the year as the Lord instructs us. We invite you to take this important journey with us!
Peace to you.
Jesus is coming! Get ready for Him!
